SHARI ASTALOS

Shari Astalos is a writer from New Jersey. Her work has appeared in Conjunctions, STORY, and Pleiades. She was a semi-finalist for the 2021 American Short(er) Fiction Prize judged by Susan Steinberg and an alternate for a 2022 Fulbright in the creative arts to Spain. She received her MFA in creative writing from Rutgers-Newark in 2022, and has lectured at Rutgers-Newark, the University of Valencia, and Montclair State University. 

Shari is a practicing immigration attorney. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the University of Miami School of Law and has studied Spanish, French, Latin, Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, and Russian to varying degrees. She recently finished her first novel.
